Cynthia Kaplan

Cynthia Kaplan is a NYC based writer, musician and actress. She is the author of two acclaimed collections of comic essays, "Why I’m Like This: True Stories" (a Barnes & Nobel Discover book) and "Leave the Building Quickly." Her work has appeared in many newspapers, magazines, and anthologies, as well as in theaters and on TV and film. She plays regularly with her award-winning band, "The Cynthia Kaplan Ordeal," and her comedy rock show, "Cindy of Arc," was a finalist for the 2023 Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theater, has toured regionally and plays regularly in NYC.
